In 2006 (I was 11), I had an idea for a story called ‘Lili’s Adventure Life’, about a girl who falls into the sea and becomes a mermaid. I had a wonderful Jacqueline Wilson writing kit for either Christmas or my birthday that year, which was a perfect opportunity to start writing it. I remember loving my story so much that I wanted to get it published. So, exactly ten years later, I’m going to make my eleven-year-old dream come true… I’m going to publish it now on my blog. I’ve written the story exactly as I wrote it then – spelling mistakes and everything. I hope you enjoy it!

FORGOTTEN POST! Chocolate-Coated Peppermint Creams
After Christmas this year I wrote this post about festive chocolate-coated peppermint creams. I finished the post, saved it in my drafts, and forgot about it… until now! I know it’s March, but oh well – why should the post go to waste? And who says peppermint creams should just be made at Christmas?! Not me!
Waterstones Book Haul!
I popped into Waterstones a couple of weeks ago to buy Rachel Caine’s newest book ‘Midnight Bites’, ready for her signing in Liverpool (Friday 4th March). While I was there I had a quick look at the Clearance shelf, and picked up a couple of bargains for only £1 each!
An Evening With Rachel Caine – 4th March 2016
Last week I managed to get a free ticket for Rachel Caine’s book signing in Liverpool Waterstones. Rachel Caine is one of my favourite authors. She has written around fifty books, fifteen of which make up the ‘Morganville Vampires’ series (I own all fifteen and so far I’ve read 9 of them), and her newest release is ‘Midnight Bites‘: an anthology of Morganville short stories which are either exclusive to this book, or have been published online in the past.
The Adult Colouring Craze!
For my birthday last year, my friend Rachel gave me a Waterstones voucher. After days of pondering over what to buy with it, I decided on something that I thought people would probably think I was weird for buying: an adult colouring book.
